"1989 World Series Game 3 Home Plate Umpire"

I sent a request to Vic Voltaggio asking him to tell the story on a baseball about the earthquake that happened at the start of Game 3 of the 1989 World Series and this is what I got:

"I was in the dressing room getting ready to go on the field. At 5:08 PM the "quake" hit. I was knocked to the floor but not injured. I got up and..."
"... ran out to the field. My concern was for my family who were seated behind home plate. We shook for 15 seconds. It wasn't much of a World Series after that."
