I sent a request to Ron Kulpa asking him to tell the story on a baseball about his favorite moment while umpiring and this is what I got:

"On June 12, 2007 I worked the plate for Justin Verlander's no-hitter.  It was very exciting to have my first no hitter.  What makes it more exciting, my previous plate job.  Curt Schilling"
"had a no-hitter for 8 2/3 innings and then gave up a base hit.  I called my dad after the game and said I won't ever get that close again!"
