I sent a request to Marty Brennaman asking him to write his famous radio call of Pete Rose breaking Ty Cobb's all time hit record and this is what I received:

"He levels the bat a couple of times. Show kicks & he fires. Rose swings and he lines a hit to left center field and there it is! Hit number 4192! A line drive single to left center field. A clean base hit & it's pandemonium here at Riverfront Stadium. Rose completely encircled by his teammates at 1st base."
